Medical-Surgical Nursing Instructor  (#2FHS18)

 

The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is seeking a Medical-Surgical Nursing Instructor for Chabot College in Hayward, CA. The position reports directly to the Division Dean.

Salary

The salary range is $56,202 - $80,348/yr, depending on education and experience.

Assignment

This is a full-time position, first year contract, 2009 – 2010 Academic Year. The assignment will begin on or about August 10, 2009.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

License: A current valid license to practice as a professional Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of California.

Appointment to this position is contingent upon approval by the California State Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).

Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, including those with physical and/or learning disabilities.

The Application Process

  1. A completed District Faculty application form for:  Medical-Surgical Nursing Instructor use position code (#2FHS18).
  2. A letter of interest, which details how the applicant meets the minimum, particular, and desired/ preferred qualifications for the job.
  3. Resume of all professional preparation and experience.
  4. College transcripts (Unofficial copies may be submitted for application purposes; however, official copies must be submitted before hiring.)  Degrees earned outside the United States must have a US evaluation (course by course) of the transcripts and must be submitted with the application.
  5. A copy of your valid California Registered Nursing license.
  6. Supplemental Questionnaire responses.

Selection Procedures

Applicants are evaluated by the appropriate manager and a review committee. Applicants determined to be the most qualified for the position will be invited for an interview at their own expense.
