Sign Language Instructor needed for adjunct pool in an expanding program. This program currently offers three transferable levels using an immersion approach. Anatomy Instructor (Fall 2009) Master's in Biological Sciences is required, and prior treaching in the subject at the community college level is desired. This class is aimed at students pursuing a career in an allied health field such as Nursing or Surgical Technician. Schedule will be August 18 - December 15, Tuesdays and Thursdays (lecture) 8:00 - a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. (lab). Five unit class. Application Process
Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is made up of three sectors: Chabot College in Hayward, Las Positas College in Livermore and the District Office in Pleasanton. Applications for all positions are submitted to Chabot-Las Positas Community College District, Office of Human Resource Services, 5020 Franklin Drive, Pleasanton, CA 94588. Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Selection is a decentralized function. A screening committee will review and evaluate applications to select a limited number of candidates for interview. Meeting the Minimum Qualifications for a position does not assure the candidate an interview. In the interview, consideration will be given to factors other than education and experience, including, but not limited to, personal development, ability to work with others, initiative, and sensitivity. The best qualified candidate will be recommended to the Board of Trustees for hire. Chabot-Las Positas Community College District regrets that applicants cannot be reimbursed for expenses related to the application or interview process. The interview committee will present its recommendations to the Chancellor for recommendation to the Board of Trustees. All applicants will receive notification of their status if not interviewed or selected.
Every applicant for employment shall be required to complete an official application form for each vacant position announced and attest to its accuracy.
