Our Board

The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is governed by a seven-member board of trustees which is responsible for all policy decisions. Board members are elected from trustee areas by the registered voters of nine communities: Castro Valley, Dublin, Hayward, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Sunol and Union City.


District Mission Statement

The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District (CLPCCD) prepares students to think critically, engage socially, and acquire workplace knowledge and educational skills in order to contribute ethically as citizens in a Global Society. 

This Mission is addressed through programs and services for students developed at Chabot and Las Positas Colleges. The allocation of resources, policies, procedures, and actions of the Board of Trustees and its colleges are established and implemented according to state codes, regulatory standards from the Board of Governors, and Board of Trustees adopted participatory governance processes.
