is the Zone?
The Zone has
everything YOU need in one place! The Zone provides personalized
access to web-based services for students of Chabot and Las Positas
Colleges, as well as all employees of the Chabot-Las Positas Community
College District. Students will have access to personalized registration
and financial aid services, online courses via Blackboard, and other
resources such as the library and links to other student services.

What
is my User ID and PIN for The Zone?
Your User ID
is your Student ID ("W") number. Your PIN is the same
as your six-digit PIN for CLASS-Web. If you have not logged into
CLASS-Web before, the default PIN is set to your date of birth in
the format MMDDYY.
Where
can I find my Student ID ("W") Number?
You should have
received a confirmation mailer from the Office of Admissions and
Records, which contains your W number. Or, if you log into CLASS-Web,
you can use your Social Security number and PIN to access your W
number.
I
forgot my PIN. What do I do?
If you forgot
your PIN, go to CLASS-Web, enter your W ID number, then click the
"Forgot PIN?" button, answer your security question and
reset your PIN. If this doesn't work, or your PIN becomes disabled,
please contact the Office of Admissions & Records:

Can
I change my User ID or PIN for The Zone?
Your User ID
cannot be changed, but you are encouraged to change your PIN to
protect your information. You can change your PIN at any time by
clicking on the "My Account" link at the top of any page
within The Zone once you are logged in. Or, you can log into CLASS-Web
and Change PIN under the "Personal Information" menu.

I'm
having trouble logging into The Zone. Who do I contact?

I
just applied for admission to the college. How soon can I log in
to The Zone?
New students
who submit their application for admission online can log in to
The Zone as soon as their application is processed, usually within
24 hours of submission. Students who apply with a paper application
in person to the Office of Admissions & Records will need to
wait at least three business days before being able to log in to
The Zone.

Who
can log on to The Zone?
Currently enrolled
students, former students (who were enrolled at either Chabot or
Las Positas Summer 2007 or later) and all current employees of the
Chabot-Las Positas Community College District have access to The
Zone.
What
is my college email (Zonemail) address?
You can see
your college email address either by logging into CLASS-Web, or
if you log into The Zone, on the Home tab, in the "Quick Check"
channel you will see a link "What is my college/district email
address?".
What
is my username and password to log into Zonemail?
Your username
is the first part of your email address (the part before the @ sign)
and the password is the same six-digit PIN you use to log into CLASS-Web
and The Zone.

Can
I customize The Zone?
The content
of The Zone is tailored for each individual who logs in. Students
will see content for Chabot and/or Las Positas (based on their enrollment
at either college). Users of The Zone can also create custom tabs
and can select from a wide range of channels to personalize their
experience in The Zone.
How
do I access my college email (Zonemail) from The Zone?
Students can
access their Zonemail by clicking on the "E-mail" icon
located at the top of every page in The Zone.
How
can I access my college email (Zonemail) without logging into The
Zone?
You can either
